Gurudwara Nanak Darbar Sahib
As part of its commitment to community welfare, JLPL built and maintains Gurudwara Nanak Darbar Sahib in Sector 91. The Gurudwara serves as a place of faith, unity, compassion, and selfless service, reflecting the core values of Sikh tradition.
It provides an inclusive space where people come together in the spirit of seva through langar, volunteering, community gatherings, and social initiatives, fostering a strong sense of belonging.
Chappar Rejuvenation
To restore the ecological health of the chappar at Raipur Khurd, JLPL undertook a rejuvenation initiative to remove excessive algae and invasive vegetation that had led to stagnant water conditions.
The project has transformed the water body into a cleaner and healthier natural space. A centrally installed fountain helps improve water quality through oxygenation, supporting a balanced and thriving ecosystem.
JLPL Plant Nurseries
JLPL has established plant nurseries in Sectors 66, 82, and 94 to support greener surroundings and sustainable development initiatives.
The nurseries feature a diverse collection of plants and flowers, including rose varieties such as Iceberg, Summer Snow, Lady X, Lutin, Rosa Albertine, Cleopatra Pink, Proud Land, Kiss of Fire, and Don Don. Managed by experienced horticulturists, they reflect JLPL’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
Vermicomposting Sites
JLPL has established vermicomposting facilities in Sectors 82 and 93 to produce nutrient-rich organic compost through environmentally responsible methods.
The compost supports landscaping needs, reduces dependence on chemical fertilizers, and promotes effective waste management. The initiative reinforces JLPL’s commitment to sustainability and greener development practices.
Sewerage Treatment Plants
JLPL has established Sewerage Treatment Plants at all its sites, ensuring that treated water is responsibly supplied to green areas across its developments. JLPL has also implemented advanced Karnal Technology for the distribution of treated water, enabling its effective utilization for our planted eucalyptus trees. This initiative reflects JLPL’s commitment to sustainable water management, resource conservation, and environmental responsibility.
Classrooms
JLPL contributed towards the construction of classrooms at the Government High School in Mauli Baidwan, Mohali, to support improved educational infrastructure.
By enhancing learning environments for students, the initiative reflects JLPL’s commitment to education, community development, and creating opportunities for future generations.
Public Convenience
As part of its community welfare initiatives, JLPL constructed public washrooms in Mauli village to support better sanitation and hygiene.
The project addresses an essential public need while contributing to cleaner and healthier surroundings, reflecting JLPL’s commitment to improving quality of life within local communities.
Affordable Housing for the Underprivileged
JLPL has contributed towards improving living conditions for underprivileged families in villages around Mohali by constructing homes for those in need.
The initiative reflects the organisation’s commitment to inclusive development, helping create safer, more dignified living environments and stronger communities.
Sewing Skill Development Centers for Women by JLPL
In partnership with Singer Corporation under the Skill India Mission, JLPL established Sewing Skill Development Centres in Mataur and Kumbra villages of Mohali.
The centres provide women with professional sewing training and practical skills, promoting self-reliance, livelihood opportunities, and community empowerment.
Tree Plantation Drives
JLPL organizes tree plantation drives frequently at various locations and company sites, bringing employees and stakeholders together to contribute towards environmental conservation. These initiatives encourage collective participation in creating greener and healthier surroundings while strengthening JLPL’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, responsible development, and the preservation of the environment.
All Weather Waiting Room at Phase 6 Government Hospital, Mohali
JLPL supported the construction of an all weather waiting room at the Phase 6 Government Hospital, Mohali, to provide comfort and shelter for attendants and visitors.
The facility addresses a vital need within the hospital and reflects JLPL’s commitment to community welfare, compassionate development, and public well-being.
