The Spirit of Service – Hosting a Langar for Our Workforce on Janmashtami

On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami JLPL organised a special langar for the labour force, serving over 1000 labourers. This initiative, organised at JLPL Falcon View in sector 66-A, Mohali, reflects the company’s commitment to caring for its workforce and celebrating important cultural festivals with the community. The langar was a heart warming event, filled with joy, gratitude and a sense of togetherness, as everyone gathered to enjoy the meal and the festive spirit.

The Significance of Janmashtami

Janmashtami marks the birth of Lord Krishna, one of the most revered deities in Hindu mythology. The story of Krishna’s birth is a tale of hope, resilience and the win of good over evil. He was born in a prison in Mathura to Devaki and Vasudeva and Krishna was destined to end the tyrannical rule of his uncle, King Kansa, which he did. His birth signifies the power of faith and divine intervention in overcoming challenges.

Our Commitment Towards Our Workforce

Organising the langar on Janmashtami was JLPL’s way of embracing and sharing the festival’s spirit of generosity and service. In the same way that lord Kirshna’s life teaches the values of compassion, kindness and duty. JLPL aims to extend those values to its workforce, recognising the vital role they play in the company’s success.

The langar was an expression of gratitude towards the labour force, whose hard work and dedication are the backbone of our operations. It was a gesture for bringing everyone closer together as one family, celebrating not just a festival, but the bond that makes JLPL a thriving and harmonious organisation.
